Pre-fished Redfish tour Friday.  SE wind at 10-15.  Started at Danny’s first thing.  Found a few schools on the shoreline, 20’-23’ for the most part.  Went across to Egg pt.  Few small trout off point.  Drove north along east shore.  Saw 2 gators…pretty cool.  Drifted out of Bill Mott Bayou (little devil) and caught a few small reds.

Left St. Charles, went to Carlos…nice blowup, but bad wind…went to Mesquite (west of runway).  Clear and shallow.  Went to Cedar reef.  Wind blowing us into shore.  Decided not to fish tourney and invited the Mr. And Mike Kunz to fish with us Sat.  Koll and I preceded north to Pelican.  Nothing in back (water very high), trout at mouth and out.  A few keepers and lots of littlins.  Proceeded south and stopped at slick on Ayers shoreline.  Slick, stop and pop…nice trout.  Caught a few and decided to mark it.  Very strange activity all around the area.

Next day, Paul and Pop accompany us to Ayers shoreline.  Fish right up against shoreline.  Koll caught nice reds and a trout.  Kunz had a few nice trout on grass edge away from shore.  Mr. K caught 4 nice ones in pocket next to shore on DOA.  Proceeded to Pelican…no fish..front moved in…water spout was cool though…

Drove slowly south until wall of water stopped us.  We sat in water for 1.5 hours drinkin’ a few waiting for gulley washer to pass.  Water was warmer than rain…  Rain stopped, and we dropped K2 up a couple hundred yards and Koll and I waded south.  Stayed outside of grass most of way.  Not much action.  I walked to shore, put on topwater.  There was a 30 yard gap b/t grass and shore.  1st cast, topwater knocked 5 feet in the air.  MMMMMM.  Next cast, 25”….Next cast, had something on for 10 seconds…6” mullet were spraying everywhere this fish came close too……pulled hook…next cast, 20” trout…  30 blowups, 2 big reds and 3 landed trout later it was getting dark… K2 found nice pocket of trout off grass edge.
