Oct. 13-14, 2006

Expected front to arrive this Friday…never showed.

Wind:  15-20 ENE

Temp:  70

Wtemp: 78-80

Water extremely high…red tide very bad in Carlos (reported)

13th:  Arrived and put boat in at Seagun by 3:45.  Kenner started immediately overheating, luckily we had backup Pathfinder.  Only got to Blackjack.  One huge flounder and small red.  Bad search day.

14th:  Left Kenner and went in Pathfinder.  To middle reef (b\t Ayers cove and Junkpile), with Koll catching one nice trout;  stu and I each with rat red around the point into AC. To junk pile, with one keeper on Norton (motor oil/chart) just past junk up against bank. To pole reefs, with one keeper on light corky FB.  To Pelican;  started slow (huge gaftop on corky), with dinks up front…nothing in back.  Water very high.  Front tip of front island held fish.  Began to get better and better, with 8 keepers coming on gulp and purple/chart. BA’s.  Had to cut out early to get Brownie home.  Fixed water pump rest of day.
