Aug. 9, 2007:

Cuts with the Dubois' and Brown.

Wind: 10-15 SSE

Water: Slightly merky, but perfect

Moon: NEW

TIDE: flowing!

Met all at the dock around 6:30.  Hit the water by 6:45. 4th was covered, so we wasted 10 minutes at #3.  Once the 4th opened, we immediately moved.  Spread everyone out, with Mr. D chunking 5" live shrimp, the doob boys with weedless G's, and Brownie and I on top.  Tough to learn the G bite for the 1st time, so lots of bites missed.  Top was going very well, with lots of 15" trout.  Changed A and C to nortons, red and white for Andy, and darker for Chris.  Andy followed me to the back, where he really started to get the idea.  Caught some nice reds, and a really nice trout that got away from his grip (over 20"). All the while, Brownie and Chris stayed between the pole and the back. Chris was bait casting, so once he remembered the trick, he started catching.  Brown patiently waited out a nice 27" imaged below.

All in all, great action and a great time catching up.
