Mansfield club
Got down there Sunday afternoon. Went by the weather station, saw a slick heading south, caught a few at the slick. Hit the north/east cut off the big cut. Good # of trout to 20” on top. Good start on redhead spook jr.
Monday took us to Gladys…We started down the shore a ways, with one red coming on top (big red and white skitterwalk w/ single hooks per the grass). Finally got to the cut in Gladys…caught 2 trout 20”.
Hit Munions…Brown stuck a couple of nice trout on slurps (size?), and I had one bite only. Next to Oaks pier, with one big red coming on red/white BA. Next across big water to Butchers. No grass yet, but tons of mullet. Proceeded to regular cut south of east cut…fish would only hit something with red in it. Caught a bunch of good fish, but nothing too big. Went back to NE cut…more good fish on top to end the day. Dinner with the Clumps that night…what a hoot!
